I HELP LEADERS GET UNSTUCK

BDO Global webinar

About Me

Over time I've developed an approach that combines strategic thinking, people development, and practical AI implementation — not because those are trendy things to bolt together, but because in my experience the real barriers to progress are rarely just strategic or just human or just technical. They're usually all three at once.

What I've found is that when leaders start to think differently — more clearly, more confidently, with less noise — organisations start to move. That's the shift I'm most interested in creating.

I work with leaders and organisations as a coach and speaker. Based in Gisborne, New Zealand — working nationally and globally.

Outside of Work

I grew up in Cornwall, England — about as far from Gisborne as you can get, in almost every sense. The rugged coastline, the sense of being at the edge of things, the community that looks after its own. Moving to New Zealand felt less like leaving and more like arriving somewhere familiar in a completely different form.

That shift gave me a different lens on business, leadership and what actually matters. I've found that being away from the traditional centres of power — whether that's London or Auckland — tends to sharpen your thinking rather than limit it. Some of the clearest strategic minds I've worked with are running businesses in regional New Zealand, far from the noise.

When I'm not working with leaders and businesses you'll find me in the surf, on a mountain bike trail, or on the mats training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Both surfing and BJJ have taught me more about leadership than most books — reading conditions, staying calm under pressure, knowing when to move and when to wait. I'm also connected to Wild Lab at Waikereru Ecosanctuary, a nature education programme helping young people build curiosity and resilience outdoors.

I believe the best thinking happens away from the desk. Some of my most useful coaching conversations have happened outside.

THE SECRET OF GETTING AHEAD IS GETTING STARTED.
